YEGUVA SRI AHOBILA NARASIMHA SWAMY TEMPLE 

This Prakalatha Varadhan Temple is located in Ahobilam in the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh.It is the idea of the atheists that everything in the world is the work of God. HISTORY

Ahobilam Prakalatha Varadhan Temple is consisdered to be the oldest temple in the area, dating back to over 3000 years. "Aho" means "lion"and "plum" means "cave" which means the cave of the lion Narasimhar. This is a temple built by Thirumangaiyal. Ahobilam Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple is one of the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desams.

In Ahobilam Temple there are a total of 9 types of temples with Narasimhar forms from the foothills to the top of the hill called Karutatri. Lord Perumal of the temple has the temple in his fourth incarnation in the form of Narasimhar incarnation. The originator of this temple is Prakalatha Varadhan, also Known as Lakshmi Narasimhan and Mother Amirthavalli Chenchu Lakshmi. All densely forested areas for a total distance of 10km from the foothills to the top of the hill.

According to temple legends, it was in this area that the demonic dynasty Inyakasipu ruled, and when his son, Lord Narayan, the great devottes of Perumal told Hiranyakashipu that he would be on the pillars and in the trumpet, to test Whether it was true, Blessed his devotees Prakalathan.

Garuda devar is also known as Garudadri, which means the Garuda Hill as it is the hill of repentance.

There is a Papanashini Falls on the hill here. These 9 Narasimhar temples are located in the forest and mountains areas. 3 km from Malola Narasimhar Temple. The place where the Narasimhar pillar emerged and that pillar is said to be there. In the foothills Narasimhar Temple, a huge pillar called Jayasthambam, which is 85 feet high, has been dug 30 feet deep and installed in the earth. They say that any reasonable demands of the devotees who stand in front of this pillar and pray will be fulfilled soon.

The Ahobilam Monastery is the main Vaishnava pedestal and monastery that manages the Vaishnava temples in South India. At present Sri Narayana Yatheendra Maha Desikan Swami is the 45th Dean of this monastery. It is said that Adisankar's life was in danger when he visited this Ahobilam temple and Sri Narasimha saved  him from all dangers.
