The human-born goddess of the earth, chose this mango tree of mangoes, and in the midst of the fire, she married the Ekambareshawara in Kanchipuram. The place is known as Mangadu and Mangadu Kamakshi Amman because of the existence of Amman penance.

To change this state, the aaaaAdi Shankara dedicated the Sri Chakra and made this area a prosperous one. It was only after Adi shankara dedicated the Sri Chakra that the mother's anger subsided.
