KAILASA TEMPLE


The Ellora Kailasanathar Temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples in rock formation. One of the most famous caves in Ellora, Maharashtra, India. It was built to a huge mountain. Built during the reign of King Krishnan (18th century), this temple is a unique temple structure that combines the Dravidian artistic qualities and features of the Rashtrakuta artists and the Pallava artistic features.

Unlike the mamallapuram Ranges. It is a magnificant full station with the features of a complete temple in addition, the Ellora Kailasanathar Temple has many secrets.

It is located to be one of the earliest sites to indicate that the ancient civilization that lived thousands of years ago were more advanced and sophisticaed.

TOTAL 34 CAVES

Kailash Nathar Temple is the 16th shrine excavated in the surrounding Ellora cave and there are 34 caves total.

VERTICAL CAVITY SYSTEM

Many researchers believe that the Kailash Temple was built using aa vertical cavity system. This means the original boulders are caved from the top to the bottom.

MULTIPLE CONSTRUCTION WORK


Indian historian, archacologist and author of the book 'Ellora'. According to Tavalikar, the Kailasanathar Temple shrines nad the kailash Temple were not dug at the same time. It is the result of many construction works belonging to different periods.

SANSKRIT ALPHABET

The eighth-century Brahmi-style Sanskrit alphabet is inscribed in a hole in the west all of the KailashNathar Temple ,as well as some of the pillars of the 8th century.
