SIVA VISHNU TEMPLE

SUNDARESWARAR, MEENAKSHI AMMAN

Lakshminarasimhar, Hayakreevar and Dhavanandri are blessed with the Goddess of Perumal. The Ekadasi Festival and the Paradise Gate are celebrated here. Anjaneyar Shrine is in front of Perumal Shrine. The festival is celebrated with great fanfare. It is usual to walk around the temple of the Lord.

During the Taipoosam, a special anointing will be held for Lord Muruga's devotees to carry milk. About 100 people carry milk. On that day, ther will be a Tirukkalyana festival for Lord Muruga. In the month of Karthigai, the temple will be lit before the temple.The third period of the four-day Puja performed during Maha Shivaratri is performed for the Lingodpavar. Jaggery Rice and Tamarind Rice are offered to the devotees after each period of Pooja.

During Amman celebraties the Raahu period on friday with a large number of women. On the Adipuram. Lord Meenakshi has several thousand bangles to decorate. For women who come to see Mother, they offer the bracelet. A large number of women will attend the puja Pooja held on the third friday of Aadi.

Next to the temple is the ceremony hall. Wedding ceremonies such as marriage and sashtipatti puri are held in this hall. They  receive a nominal fee. To the right of the temple complex in Nakamma Sannidhi. the Rahu-period puja is celebrated here.

MAHAVISHNU, MAHALAKSHMI
