The only way to do that is to satisfy Nagaraja and get his favor."

Parasuramar decided to leave Kerala only after it became a land of natural beauty, lush vines and all the treasures. To satisfy Nagaraja, he set out with his disciples in search of a secluded wilderness. He found a suitable place near the coast in the southern part of Kerala. He built the penitent 'Tirtha Road' there, a place conductive to his long-term plan.

Parasuramar, the incarnation of Tirumala, had to undergo severe penance. Due to this penance he got a rare vision. He bowed his heard at the lotus feet of Nagaraja. The mind fluttered and stood in praise. Then he raised his hand and announced his prayer. The Tirtha Road was later renamed as 'Mannara road'.
