Angala Parameswari Temple

ANGALA PARAMESWARI TEMPLE

Putlur Angalamman temple is located on the way from Thiruvallur to Chennai, located in Thiruvallur district. The temple has been flooded with devotees in recent times. The history of this temple is as follows.

MYTHOLOGY

A farmer by the name of Ponmani was living in poverty. He mortgaged his land to Magisuran. But he could not return to the land of sin. Magisuran urged him to repay the loan immediately. But ponmani was  unable to give money ,  then Magisuran got anger.

He went to the city park and ordered the plow, sow, and water into the land that night. What's the easiest thing to do in single day. But what else could he do. He began to plow the land that night, as he bowed to the goddess karumari, the goddess he always worshiped. Suddenly it seemed as if his air plow had hit something.

What is it? When he stooped down there, blood was flowing through it. Ponmani's eyes were dark and faint when he saw the blood that had been decomposed and then swallowed fast. Just so dope,Then an unruly voice fell on his ears.

Don't be afraid, devotee! Lord Shiva is a little older. We are just as old as the older grandmother. Shiva is gone when you bring water. I have become earthy in your land here. You hurt me with your blend. That is why there is blood in it. I lay there without any pain.

Don't worry, Nothing has gone wrong. You have done good. I mean, you showed me to this world by being hurt. You have reached the point of worshiping us. Ponmani came to her senses and realized that the voice that was in her ears was Goddess Parvati. The happiness he has achieved is not great,  Subsequently, the news spread widly throughtout the town. There they decided to consecrate the Angalamman in the state of sleep. She was consecrated. Since it was Amman who appeared in the park, it is also given the special name of 'Poongavanathamman'.

The Putlur Temple is having an another  story. On one occasion. Shiva and Parvati were talking through the Putlur forest to Yalur, Malmalai, Parvathy, pregnant with the shade of neem tree, sits in the shade as weeds have come a long way. She was thirsty and asked for water. Immediately, Lord Shiva crosssed the nearby Koovam River and brought fresh water. At that time, heavy rains flooded the Koovam river.

Thus Lord Shiva could not cross the river. So Shiva was waiting for the flood to fall. Meanwhile, hungry and thirsty, Parvati fell to the ground. The soil around her has grown into sores. Returning to this place, Lord Shiva stood there, Knowing the parvati was sitting in her stomach reflecting that, Lord Shiva in the Putlur head, with a slightly worried face as the ThandavaRayan.

And she looks natural in this place, like an imperfect pregnant woman. Pilgrims could not have witnessed this miracle in any other places in Tamil Nadu. This is why the number of pilgrims visiting putlur is increasing day by day. Inside the temple of Angala Parameswari Amman she gave the blessings in the face of the pregnancy.Mother stretches her leg in the Easanya corner and heads southwest. The restoration of the foot in the shrine causes some devotion to all the devotees.

It is a constant belief in the minds of the people who know her that if one steps into the presence of her mother, she will get rid of the grievances, get rid of obstacles, do not know where the evil, the black magic, the demon, the devil whatever.

SRI BHAGAVATHY TEMPLE

Goddess Bhagavathi Amman is known in this temple as known Amman, Kanyakumari Amman, Durgai Amman and Bhagawati Amman. The Kanyakumari Temple, where Amman resides, is located at the confluence of the Bay of Bengal on the east, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the indian ocean on the south. It is the southernmost tip of India. This is one of the power bases of the Devi. This place is considered to be the place wher the back of the goddess fell.

HISTORY

This history can be known in mythological times, even the monsters can obtain boons by doing heavy penanace. Those triplets who are fed up with heavy penance will give a boon. This is how the demon Banasuran, in his penchant for Brahmadeva, received the verse that "no one can destroy himself and that "no man can die except a virgin" The monster throught 'how can death be done by a virgin with a tender heart and mind?' Banasuran, who received the gift was unbearable. He was worshiping saints and gods. Thus the gods and sages sought refuge with Lord Vishnu. But Vishnu told them the secret of the death of the 'virgin girl' in Banasura's death.
Lord Shiva was sitting next to Vishnu offered the solution. Devas and sages advised that the goddess of power could destroy the monster, Devas and sages meditated on the thought of Shakti Devi.In order to protect the gods and sages from these monsters, Shaktidevi incamated as a virgin girl in the south of kumari, Shakti Devi, who was born as a virgin on this earth, was devoted to the Lord and made a great penanace to end the marriage.
At that time Lord Shiva was living in the place of Susindram by the name of Thanumalayan. Eesan decided to marry Shakthi Goddess, who had incarnated as a virgin girl on earth, and wanted to marry her.
The gods who knew this had come to fear. That's how to deatroy that monster once you get married to Shakthi Devi. But it was only Narada Muni who realized the three times and realized that this was the festival of Eesan.
Shakthi Devi and Eesan's wedding talk came to the House. But the idea that the marriage should somehow stand out was the idea of the gods and Narada, Narada started rioting to stop the marriage Naradar Riot can go on  of its own.
Narada looked at Lord Shiva and made a request on behalf of the gods. The demand was also addressed to Devi. It was also said that the marriage would be terminated if the groom did not arrive before sunrise.
The day came for the weding. Lord Shiva departed from Suchindram towards Kumari. Even before dawn, Narada figured out the service. Lord Shiva, Hearing the sound of Rooster, went back to Suchindram, thinking that the sun had risen and the marriage would not go on again.

The wrath of the Goddess waiting for marriage in Kumarimunai reached it peak. The sun has risen. But the wrath of Goddess became so great that Eesan did not come to marry the goddess yet. She took the flowers for the wedding and threw them on the sea sand. This is why it is said that the sandy area of Kanyakumari is colored. At this time, Banasura came to marry the Goddess. The Goddess is now at the height of her anger. "I don't want to marry you"; She said to him. But Banasuran did not leave . He forced Shakthi Devi to marry her.
Panasuran, who was supposed to be close to the Goddess, could not even come close. Her anger caught on fire and she rose up and tortured Parasakthi Devi Banasura, a skyscraper. All the gods offered flowers to the goddess to attain calm. They were grateful to the Goddess who saved them.
History said that the angry goddess has reached Shanti and from that day to date, She sits as a virgin girl, Bhagavathi Amman, in Kanyakumari, thinking of Lord Shiva and removing the grivances of the people.
If virgins who do not get married , pray to the temple and get married soon. It is believed that this tirtha will be solved in the tirtha which is in Kanyakumari before the Kasi and the water will be drowned.

Shore Temple

SHORE TEMPLE

The first temple to be built in Tamil Nadu is the Beach Temple in Mahaballapuram. The temple was built by Pallavamanan Rajasimman alias randam Narasimhavarman in 700-728 AD. The temple is forty-five feet tall and is one of the four ancient forts in the temple. The temple is considered as one of the most important shrines of the tamil sculpture traditions in South India.

The Shiva lingam and the shrine for Vishnu are also present in the temple. Another highlight is the presence of all the traditions of vegetarianism and Vaishnava. the bricks found in the temple are similar to the bricks used in the Sangam age of Pukar, Uraiyur, mankodi and Arikamedu.

There is a temple in the sphere where the Tirumal lies on the beach. On either side of it are two Shiva temples built on the east and west sides. The temple to the east is taller and the five-storied tower is unbroken. The temple to the west consists of a small, three-storeyed tower.

The temple is said to be a precursor to the temple built in South india. Various stones were cut and stacked on top of one another at the beach at Mamallapuram. the temple was declared as a world Heritage Site in 1984.Today, besides the coastal temple at Mamallapuram, six other temples have sunk into the sea. Beneath those sculptures lies a small lingam.
